LOGOS

Vertical Wave Mark
This S is made from two straight diagonal bars through the middle, with curved blocks at the top and bottom that close off the letter. I wanted it to feel strong and simple, so I kept every angle the same and let the curves do the softening. I tried it in navy, royal blue, and tan to see how the shapes hold up when the colors are flipped. The navy and tan version felt the most like me, and it ended up becoming the logo for this website.

Diagonal Ribbon Mark
I built this S out of three curved ribbons that run side by side, almost like strips of folded paper. The letter isn't drawn with a single line. The white space between the ribbons is what shapes it. That was the hardest part to get right, because if the gaps are too thin they fill in and the S turns into a blob. I tested it in black, white, gray, and red on both light and dark backgrounds, and at small sizes, to make sure the gaps stay open and the letter still reads.

Magnolia Springs
Dental Logo
I designed this logo for Magnolia Springs Dental using a magnolia flower as the starting point. The curved shapes overlap to form a flower in the center, and the color grid shows it still works in different colors and at small sizes.

Chi Rho Monogram
The Chi Rho is one of the oldest Christian symbols. I made by overlapping the first two Greek letters of the word Christ. I wanted to keep the traditional shape but make it feel finished and modern.

Tau Rho Monogram
The Tau Rho combines the Greek letters Tau and Rho into the shape of a cross. It is even older than the Chi Rho. I designed it as a companion piece, using the same gold and brown finish and the same flared ends so the two look like a matching set.
